Why do FAQs matter?FAQs are a great way to help site visitors find quick answers to common questions about your business and create a better navigation experience.

What got you inspired to start your 3D printing business? Any major influences?Playing with Legos from a young age along with putting various things together like models for school projects along with building furniture definitely got me in the direction of 3D printing. More recent influences in the modern age include companies like ICON who set out to construct an entire neighborhood with 3D printing!

How long does it take for an average order to be fulfilled?If the product or item being requested in the order is in stock and on our website than you can view current processing times on the product or item page you are looking at. For custom orders, we ask you to add a couple of weeks to fulfillment time.

When was RARE 3D Founded?RARE 3D was founded in July of 2023.

What is an FAQ section?An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about your business like "Where do you ship to?", "What are your opening hours?", or "How can I book a service?".

Do you do custom products other than what's currently listed on the website?Go to our contact tab and message us about what you're looking for product wise along with whatever custom features you have in mind that go with that product. We will get back to you as quickly as possibility on the feasibility of the project and whether it can be done or not.

Where is RARE 3D based out of?Rare 3D is based in the northwest suburbs of the Chicagoland area.

How time consuming is it to help customers who submit a CAD file that won't print?About 20% or less of the files that we receive have issues of some kind. The file itself could be missing parts, scaling issues, modeled in a different software and or may have been improperly exported. Typically half of these files can be fixed and or corrected in less than ten minutes. However, some files that have printing issues may require hours to fix and or may require a complete remodel which will INCLUE DESIGN RATES.

How do I go about receiving my order? Can you guys ship my order to my home or business address?At this current time we do not ship orders but we do offer curbside pickup along with instore pickup. If you have an order ready for pickup, we will notify you!

Why is failure cost calculated into the cost of the good or service provided?Under our resources page you can see that we mass printed some furniture for a client's project and sometimes mistakes are made. That is why we charge for a bit extra filament than what the project calls for.

Where can I add my FAQs?FAQs can be added to any page on your site or to your Wix mobile app, giving access to members on the go.

Do you guys always include support removal or slicing for models as part of your service?During times high volume of orders, certain services will be required to be completed by the client. Tasks such as support removal, or perform a slicer setup by downloading the free bambu lab application and importing the model into it.

What 3D printers print the products listed on your site?For our smaller projects and prototypes we use our smaller scaled printer is the Bambu Lab X1-Carbon. For the bigger projects we like to use the FL Sun V400 which is capable of printing right around 400 millimeters per second. We are looking to add more printers to our arsenal to bring you more great RARE 3D products.

How do I add a new question & answer?To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.

How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.

Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Create a new FAQ or edit an existing one 3. From the answer text box click on the video, image or GIF icon 4. Add media from your library and save.
